Château de Lordat
Despite the ravages of time, the Château de Lordat, in the Ariège, still looks proud with its towers and high walls. A listed historic monument, it remains a remarkable example of medieval military architecture in the Ariège Pyrenees.
A walking loop lets you admire it from every angle. It also passes an old mill on the Gérul stream, the Romanesque chapel of Axiat and the Romanesque church of Vernaux. Rich in history, Romanesque heritage and scenery, the route can be walked in any season.
