Château de Landreville
The Château de Landreville stands in the Ardennes Argonne, between Dun-sur-Meuse and Grandpré. It is a small rectangular fortress flanked by four round towers with conical 'pepper-pot' roofs and surrounded by moats.
The medieval building was remodelled in the Renaissance: in 1567 it received its roof, chimneys and large windows. The main block has four levels, served by a spiral staircase in the north-west tower. The round room in the south-east tower, of brick with exposed beams, was restored in 2004. The west pavilion housed the chapel, whose bell tower was destroyed in the First World War.
The château is a listed historic monument, with a six-hectare park, 17th-century pavilions and 19th-century outbuildings beyond the moats. It is now available for hire for receptions and private stays.
