Château de Dommerville
Facing the plain, the Château de Dommerville, in the Essonne, consists of a central block flanked by two wings. The left wing houses the two dining rooms and the two staircases; the right wing was used as an orangery. An avenue of chestnut trees, 250 metres long, leads to the half-moon, closed by a 35-metre gate, before the forecourt of the main courtyard.
Of the outbuildings, only the kitchens survive; the stables were lost in a fire in 1910. Used as a farm building from 1869, the château was bought in 1963. The exterior was fully restored, respecting the original architecture, between 1995 and 1998, and the interior is being restored.
