Château de Brézé
The Château de Brézé, in the Maine-et-Loire, is unique in many ways, thanks to its owner, the Count de Colbert. This true Loire château is in fact a château above a château: beneath the surface château, built between the 11th and 19th centuries, lies an extraordinary underground fortress, long closed to the public.
With a team of museum and heritage specialists, Monsieur de Colbert decided to open his château from the roofs down to the deepest underground passages.
