Château de Bandeville
The Château de Bandeville, in the Essonne, was built in Louis XIII style for Thierry Sevin, a president of the Paris Parlement. It has a long two-storey wing on a raised basement, flanked by two projecting pavilions, to which two further pavilions were later added; though smaller, they respect the harmony of the building.
Built halfway up the slope of the Rémarde valley, the château is surrounded by a large park created by Thomas Rappouël and redesigned in 1833 by Louis-Sulpice Varé.
