Chamrousse

Isère, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes

Chamrousse is a ski resort in the southern Belledonne massif, in the Isère, built around its two entrances, Le Recoin at 1,650 metres and Roche-Béranger at 1,750 metres, up to the summit of La Croix at 2,250 metres. The downhill area has 90 kilometres of runs on 41 trails, complemented by 41 kilometres of cross-country skiing around L'Arselle and Lac Achard. In 1968, Chamrousse hosted all the alpine skiing events of the Grenoble Olympic Games, a distinction unique among French resorts.
