Abbaye du Thoronet

Le Thoronet Abbey is a Cistercian abbey in the commune of Le Thoronet, in the Var. It was listed as a historic monument on the 1840 list. The whole site enjoys double legal protection: on the one hand for the environment and the preservation of fauna and flora, and on the other through the 500-metre perimeter around a historic monument under the heritage code.
