La Cité des Sciences de Paris la Villette
The Cité des sciences et de l'industrie is a science and technology museum located in the Parc de la Villette, in north-east Paris. It offers permanent and temporary exhibitions on science, technology, the environment, space and digital technology, as well as talks and workshops.
The site brings together several spaces: a planetarium, the Cité des enfants for younger children, the Cité de la santé, the Cité des métiers, the Science and Industry Library and the Louis Lumière cinema. In the park, you can visit the Argonaute, a real French military submarine turned into a museum. La Géode, a spherical cinema with a hemispherical screen, operates as a screening venue.
The venue suits families, school groups and curious visitors of all ages. Every autumn, the Fête de la science offers special activities there. Exhibitions change regularly: the official website gives the up-to-date programme.
