Grotte de bournillon
At the bottom of the Bournillon cirque opens Europe's highest cave portal, 109 metres high: the Grotte de Bournillon. Named the "pink room" by the first explorers, this vast void is occupied most of the time by a greenish lake. Shortly after the start of the portal, we notice an enormous opening above us: the upper gallery. Further in, and after overlooking the EDF water intake, we meet a second gallery, called the middle one. Then the lower gallery closes off the lake, behind a footbridge.
