Château de Montgobert
Built in the 18th century, the Château de Montgobert, in the Aisne, belonged to Pauline Bonaparte, sister of Napoleon I. It later passed to Marshal Davout and then to the Cambacérès and Suchet d'Albufera families.
The château is surrounded by a romantic park designed in the 19th century and redone in the 20th to plans by Duchêne. On site is a regional museum with collections on tools, the forest, hunting with hounds and the war of 1914-1918. The château is partly protected as a historic monument.
