Château de Belvoir
The Château de Belvoir, in the Doubs, dates from the late 12th and early 13th centuries, as shown by the date 1224 carved on a keystone from the north tower. It overlooks the Sancey valley and is one of the few surviving examples of the feudal period in the area.
The château holds collections of very fine furniture, old weapons and paintings. Belvoir is a commune in the Doubs, in Franche-Comté. The visit reveals a fortified castle that has remained close to its original state, overlooking the Sancey valley.
