Saut de la Cuve
The Saut de la Cuve is a waterfall of the Vosges massif, on the boundary of the communes of Saint-Amé and Le Syndicat, on the Cleurie. It has inspired literature: in 1860, Théophile Gautier described it in the text accompanying a collection of lithographs by Jean-Joseph Bellel devoted to the Vosges, although he had probably never visited the place. Jules Lermina also evokes it, in a fanciful way, in a sequel to The Count of Monte Cristo. In reality, it is an accessible and picturesque Vosges waterfall, to be discovered especially after the snowmelt or a rainy spell.
