Château de Villiers-les-Maillets

Seine-et-Marne, Île-de-France

Built on the site of an older castle, the Château de Villiers-les-Maillets, in the Seine-et-Marne, was designed by the architect Firmin Perlin for Daguin de Villette, who had held the fief since the 1760s. The main structure was completed in 1775, and the panelling is probably the work of Ducrot, a joiner who also signed the church panelling in 1773.

After hiding during the Terror, Daguin de Villette died in 1803. The château was bought by Madame de Flamarens the following year. It has three farms, a park and woods.
