Château de Tramecourt

Pas-de-Calais, Hauts-de-France

The austere early 17th-century seigneurial residence of Tramecourt, in the Pas-de-Calais, was turned into a farmer's house in the following century and succeeded in 1740 by a brick and stone country house. A century later it was transformed, its interior refitted and a landscaped park laid out, giving the whole an unusual scale for the département.

The ensemble includes the lime avenue, the entrance esplanade and its side alleys, the fences and gates, the outbuildings, the main courtyard, the old château, the dovecote and the trough in the farmyard, the kitchen garden, the cart shed and the wooded park.
