Abbaye de Royaumont
Royaumont Abbey is a former Cistercian monastery in the hamlet of Baillon, in Asnières-sur-Oise in the Val-d'Oise, about thirty kilometres north of Paris. This great Cistercian abbey of the Île-de-France, built between 1228 and 1235 under the patronage of Louis IX, was sold as national property during the French Revolution. The building has been listed as a historic monument since 29 July 1927. Since 1964, the Royaumont Foundation has occupied and maintained the site.
